Redecorating
Shortly after her parents left for Tucson, Diane began rummaging through the basement storage looking for things belonging to her grandmother. There were several boxes labeled “Diane” that she was disappointed to find contained only old Easter and Valentine’s Day decorations, as well as an old nightgown, robe, and housecoat. Long ago, the box had held Diane’s old baby mementos, hence the mislabeling. Nevertheless, Diane proceeded to redecorate the house with the holiday decorations from the box. She also began to wear the clothing, assuming it had belonged to her grandmother.
