Diane had a natural enthusiasm and aptitude for learning, but was shy around other children at school. Since riding the bus made Diane anxious, Pam drove her to school each morning. A quiet child, Diane liked reading and art, but hated gym and games like 7-Up because no one ever picked her. Though she always loved music, Diane never got involved in band or other extracurricular activities.
