Diane believes that certain numbers can have powerful effects on one’s good fortune, and is particularly fixated on the numbers seven and thirteen. We frequently observe her writing down the names of people, then counting the letters in different ways. She considers those whose names contain letters close to or in multiples of seven as good and lucky, but those tallying thirteen as bad, unlucky, even evil.
